The India School Infrastructure Index (ISII) 2026 is a Qlynt Research analytical framework designed to assess the availability of school infrastructure across 36 States and Union Territories of India. The study uses infrastructure-related data from UDISE+ 2023–24 and converts facility counts into comparable percentages at State/UT level
The analysis brings together 21 school infrastructure indicators covering essential facilities such as libraries, playgrounds, sanitation, electricity, digital resources, drinking water, accessibility infrastructure, health-related facilities and sustainability-oriented systems. These indicators are organised into six analytical dimensions: Basic Infrastructure, Sanitation, Digital Infrastructure, Learning Environment, Accessibility & Inclusion, and Health & Sustainability.
The objective of the study is to provide a transparent and structured view of infrastructure availability, identify differences across States and Union Territories, and make the underlying public data easier to understand through statistical analysis, visualisations and State-level profiles.
